Hi, I'm Kat - your website whisperer.

It's great to have you here.

From the beginning:

I decided to make my way into this world a full 2 weeks ahead of schedule and to an audience of at least 8 people. Breech and face up, every available doctor in the hospital wanted to see my arrival.
Whilst I was oblivious to all this fuss, I can only imagine what my concerned mother was going through.
I like to think that they all clapped as I belted out my first cry but, even if they did, the applause would have been for my mother, not I.

Following that eventful night in January towards the end of the 1970’s, life followed a pretty normal path.

I grew up in the beautiful Cotswolds in England and, after gaining my degree in Media, Film & Video Production, London Life beckoned. I threw myself into a career in Television Production that naturally led me into the digital world, which is where I find myself today, some 20+ years later.

I’ve swopped London life for the countryside again, but this time the rolling Surrey Hills where I’m enviably positioned between the Big City and the Beach. The very best of all three worlds.

These days you’ll find me with my head in websites during the week and stretching my legs on dog walks with our Labradors, Huxley & Nero, or renovating our 400 year-old house, at the weekends.

Digging a little deeper...

What was your first job?

As a Saturday girl in a shoe shop when I was 14 years old. My best school friends worked there too so it didn’t feel like work!

Early-bird or night owl?

Early bird all the way. Our dogs are wide awake at 6.00am and therefore so are we. It’s the best part of the day!

First memory?

Swinging back on my chair at nursery school which resulted in a split chin. I ended up getting butterfly stitches at the cottage hospital and a scar for life!

What's the most beautiful place you've visited?

Mmm, I’ve been lucky enough to travel a fair bit, but…ok let’s go with Iceland. It’s wild and powerful and a place where you immediately understand that you don’t mess with Mother nature.

What was your first website build?

I taught myself how to build my first website in the late 1990s/2000. Using Dreamweaver. It was AWFUL! I like to think I’ve gotten a little better ;-)

What is your favourite food?

That's a tough one! Can I pick more than one? If so.... chicken fajitas, steak, sushi, beans on toast - it's an eclectic mix!

Where do you want to go next?
